Friends and family of domestic violence survivors often wonder "why does she stay?" Many people can't understand why the abused person doesn't just leave. Here we explore the many reasons the abused stay, and what you can do to help.
From pain to peace. From hurt to healing. From wounded to warrior. Welcome to Serenity, where our goal is to help survivors of domestic violence heal and regain their personal strength and power. Since 1988 we have been bringing domestic peace to the families of Mountain Home, Baxter County, and the surrounding counties of North Central Arkansas.
One in 4 women and one in 7 men will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. The effects on the children who witness violence in their daily lives can last a lifetime, and if they don't receive early intervention the risk of them staying trapped in a cycle of violence is greater. Whoever you are- we are here to HELP break the cycle of violence.
Trained and experienced advocates can be reached 24 hrs a day on our hotline at 870-424-7233.
If you or someone you know is currently experiencing domestic violence, please call us and begin the journey from pain to peace today.
