Purple Door


In 2004, Serenity opened a resale shop called, "The Purple Door". The store was born from the need to provide clothing and household items to women and children who were sheltered in our safe house. Today, The Purple Door provides a significant revenue stream that helps support our mission.  With much sweat and love from staff and volunteers, the Purple Door has transformed itself into the leading upscale resale shop in Mountain Home.  The store manager, Diana Christensen is very discriminating about the quality of clothing and items she will accept and has created a boutique feel in the store. Women and children from the program can shop for what they need from an actual store instead of being clothed from a box or bag. While we sell to the public, all clothing and household items are free to our clients.

The P.O.P. Shop

In 2009, Serenity, Inc. opened a satellite office in Yellville to further support our mission and better serve the Marion County community.  In July 2010, Serenity opened a thrift store on the historic square in Yellville. The store provides financial support to the Yellville office.  The P.O.P. shop “Protecting Our People” exists due to generous donations from the community.  It is apparent upon entering that store manager Wanda Goebel takes great pride in the store and quality of items she accepts. In addition to clothing the shop accepts gently used furniture and household items. While we sell to the public, all clothing and household items are free to our clients.
